The Design Scholarship...

The Scott Morgan Design Scholarship honors Scott's role as mentor to the many furniture designers and manufacturers who have focused their talents and businesses on developing contemporary design in the U.S.. It is a contest-based scholarship open to junior, senior and graduate level industrial design, interior design and furniture design students attending Pratt Institute or SCAD (Savannah College of Art and Design). Students wishing to apply for the scholarship are asked by their Department Heads to submit work focused specifically on contemporary design within the home furnishings market. Submissions are reviewed by the design professionals on the SMDS board who select the award recipients. Thus far scholarships have been awarded to Bronson Ablon 2015, Loreta Haaker 2016, Audrey Krume 2017, Aaron Tyler Atwood (2018), and Ava Chun 2018).
